Abstract

With the widely universal attention of information security at present, the identification technology based on a kind of biological feature has already become relatively mature, such as, fingerprints identification, face recognition or iris recognition[1-3]. However, because of the singleness and limitation, this paper proposes a multi-biometric identification technology which adopts finger contour feature and palm prints feature to use different feature extraction methods to corresponding areas during the treatment process. Firstly, do the pre-treatment to images and get finger contour, and then extract finger length and average width and palm prints feature. We choose Gabor filter to extract feature of palm’s quadrate region in order to improve algorithm’s speed. Finally, adopt multi-layer matcher to make this system have higher identification precision and guarantee the identification security of system which makes up for the deficiency of single identification method greatly.
