The Sustainable Development Index of Science and Technology and the Effects of R&D in High-Tech Industry

- Abstract
- This paper, built an index of sustainable development of science and technology containing environment factors, and measured 30 regions’ index of sustainable development of 2009, with the principal component analysis. This paper found that the sustainable development in science and technology of eastern region had an advantage over central and western region. At the same time this paper analyzed the effects of R&D in high-tech industry using 2001-2007’s panel data, and found that the R&D investment of high-tech industry made R&D’s innovation capability and absorption capacity obtain a larger increase.
