Algorithms for Designing and Implementation of User Movement Forecast Applications Based on Proactive Computing

- Abstract
- Proactive computing systems can detect users’ decisions before the decisions are made. The challenge is to develop applications that software can operate beyond the interactive domain. This study applies the proactive computing concept to user mouse movement forecast detection for operation systems. Algorithms for saving user preferences into a user preference database and for mouse coordinate forecast notification are developed. Finally, a system prototype was implemented. The experiment results indicate that the proposed algorithms can forecast the movement of a mouse when the desktop is being browsed.
