Abstract
In this paper we present the framework for localization and recognition of ADL in an assistive environment. We consider a variety of diverse sensors, namely RFID, WSNs and wired low-cost sensor motes. Furthermore we formulate the theoretical background for activity recognition based on episodes consisting of detected events. Finally, we present an operation scenario accounting for multiple users and sensors that compensates for the location estimation uncertainty.
