Abstract
Potassium dichromate method is a standard examination method for soil organic carbon (SOC) determination. In this test, the suitable conditions--optimum digestion time and temperature of potassium dichromate method for SOC determination are defined by studying a set of soil samples under different conditions. Results of the experiment showed that the optimal heating temperature and time of using potassium dichromate volumetric method to determinate SOC were 350 °C and 30 minutes, respectively. In this case, the content of SOC went to the highest and remained stable.
