Application of Numerical Simulation Techniques for Teaching Specialized Shipbuilding Engineering

- Abstract
- The intelligent solutions based on simulation for connecting the design and the production stages help to increase the production efficiencyof shipyards with lower cost and hand-over shorter.This paper reviews the CAD/CAM projects in shipbuilding industry of development shipbuilding nations in Asia and the development trends of CAD/CAM projects in shipbuilding of Vietnam. These solutions include Accuracy Control and Erection Forecasting Simulation Systems, Advanced Outfitting Design System and Plant Simulation will be analysed by Asia shipyards’ experience in practice.These contents should be prepared to put into the curriculum of shipbuilding engineering at the universities teaching specialized shipbuilding engineering in Vietnam.
