A New Method of Phase Uniformity Correction in Multi-channel Receivers

Abstract
In order to enhance the performance of multi-channel systems, a new method for phase uniformity correction is proposed in this paper. Two methods to regulate the phase, using a single inductor and using 90/180 degree phase shifters assisted by a Phase Locked Loop, are compared. The analysis proves that the later accurate phase adjusting method can achieve zerodegree phase error among channels of a multi-channel system. Finally, phase correction procedure in an application design of a multi-channel super-heterodyne receiver for adaptive phase adjusting is described in details.
