As a major means in the researching of the drag reduction of fluid, experimental method plays a necessary role while promoting the process of the theory relating to the drag reduction of fluid. Many important turbulent flow phenomena are achieved based on the test conditions. Experimental researches of fluid friction on the ship sailing and underwater vehicle navigation are mostly carried out by using tunnel devices. Because of its large floor area, high cost, and difficulties in controlling the test conditions and the complexity of the structure, it sets a limit to the fields in tests and applications significantly. Meanwhile, the experiment on testing drag reduction effect on the jetting surface will be unavailable, which makes it have some limitations in using tunnel device. Based on the factors above, we developed a small platform, which can be used for testing drag reduction effect on the bionic jetting surface. By means of designing and developing the testing platform data acquisition system, writing the graphical user interface in LabVIEW environment to control data flow, and collecting the value of the surface friction torque of the fluid for different experimental models in the course of test, we could achieve the automation of data collection and data real-time monitoring. By taking experiments on the testing platform we get an access to analysis of the uncertainty. The result shows that the testing platform is fully equipped to test for fluid friction testing capabilities.
