Abstract
Complex networks provide a new tool for studying relationship among a large number of enterprises. This paper constructs the annual competitive relationship complex models of Boolean network and weighted network among the logistics enterprises according to the data of the logistics enterprises’ location and turnover from the year 2006 to 2009 in Dongguan, China. We analyze network structure properties of the logistics competitive relationship network each year with the different static indexes, and discuss its evolution over time. The results show that the logistics competitive relationship network, viewed as a weighted network, displaying statistical features that are different from those obtained by using a binary-network approach and weighted network appearing to be more practical. In particular we find that: (ⅰ) the strength of nodes is subjected to scale-free distribution; (ⅱ)the weighted network has weak assortativity; (ⅲ)enterprises with high turnover display features of more competitive links and more clustered relationship. Finally, this paper discusses macroscopic and microcosmic industrial significance and inspiration of the competitive relationship complex network in logistics industry and gives some advice according to the interpretation.
