The Comprehensive Water Resources Control in HRW

- Abstract
- After near 6 decade’s control over Huaihe River, great achievements have been obtained in flood prevention and waterlog elimination, water resources development, utilization and protection, etc. yet, the negative issues still exist such as incomplete flood proof and disaster relief system, severe water resources waste, undesired efficiency and benefit in water utilization. In a certain period in the future, the Huaihe River control policy of “concurrent flood detention and discharge” shall be firmly carried out so as to do well the flood prevention, waterlog elimination and water resources development and utilization, water ecologic protection and overall management of watershed control system.
