Abstract
This study aims to use computer and electronic technology in the field of psychosomatic diseases prevention and treatment. Biological feedback is a new technology to prevent and cure psychosomatic diseases (anxiety disorders, hypertension and neurodermatitis et al.) in medical community. The main method is to present patients’ physiological characteristics with virtual scenes to themselves. Virtual scenes are directly fed back to patient's cerebral cortex, facing these virtual scenes driven by their own physiological characteristics, patients try to adjust their physiological indexes to influence the virtual scenes and transform it to target condition, and finally achieve the aim of treatment. Patients can achieve stability of their visceral functions through the conscious self-adjustment. On the basis of biofeedback, this study further applies the principle and method of "floatation therapy"and"restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST)"to design a new type of multi-functional floating capsule, which is able to adjust mental and physical discomfort made by stress or negative emotion, thoroughly decreasing risk of illness.
