Abstract
-
Programming design course is one of the required courses for many non-computer related students. The course objective is to equip students with basic knowledge of computer programming, which will be the essential tools for future study and work. However, it is difficult to get a satisfying teaching effectiveness with the same syllabus, because the backgrounds of the non-computer related students are diverse and the differences of learning capability are also very large. Hence, we introduce the flexible teaching methods gradually, which allow the teacher to adjust the syllabus around the baseline of the course in a certain degree according to the characteristics of the students, and to take flexible measures in content, exercises and so on. The result of reform is positive both in the academic achievement and the satisfaction of students. In the paper the recent flexible teaching reform methods in C programming language course will be introduced.
