Recent Developments in Biomedical Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription

- Abstract
- Traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions (TCMP) is playing an indispensable role in the prevention and treatment of diseases in China and East Asia area for many years. Biomedical analysis is crucial to elucidate the mechanism of TCMPs. At present, a large number of papers have been published in the pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis of TCMPs, stemming mainly from modern separation, characterization techniques, sample extraction methods and so on. Liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis and enzyme immunoassay are commonly used to study the TCMPs. In the review, the development and application of qualitative and quantitative analysis in biomedical analysis of TCMPs are discussed. Then, we also expound the applications of biomedical analysis in TCMPs. Finally, we discussed some future research requirements for the domain.
